Japanese Naval Officers Sword The 1914 Pattern Japanese Naval Officer’s sword is Hanwei’s replication of the multi-rank pattern in use until the end of WW II. The blade is un-edged, in keeping with the ceremonial nature of the sword, but is nevertheless forged from high-carbon steel with a straight hamon.
